If you're curious you can see my graduate thesis presentation at the SVA theatre about the work of architect Elroy Webber whose mid-century modern style designs can be found in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and a few other places. Bonus is the Q&A at the end with the wonderful Kurt Andersen.
I hope to return to this project in the future, I so enjoyed it and wish to share more of it - I would like to document more of his work and make it available to the public in other formats that are accessible to all.
A special thank you to Webber's daughter, Alice Briggs, for inviting me to her home and sharing her father's story and drawings, as well as the homeowners who graciously let me experience their homes and their perspective of what it is like living with Webber's distinctive designs.
I earned my MFA in Design Criticism (D-Crit) from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
My studies focused on design writing and research, communications, and digital media.
